Trilon CA Food Grade disodium calcium EDTA is manufactured and packaged by BASF in bulk 99.2 pound drums.

BASF Trilon CA is a white, crystalline, free flowing, relatively non hygroscopic powder. FDA Approved applications include carbonated beverages, dressings and sauces (i.e. mayonnaise, French dressing and pourable dressings), fish and shellfish, fruits and vegetables, pickled vegetables, potato products, shortening, fats and oils, vitamin stabilization, and animal feeds.

BASF Trilon CA is designed to control trace metal ions which may be responsible for catalyzing discoloration, oxidation, turbidity, corrosion, texture deterioration, the development of off-flavor and rancidity, or other deteriorative changes in food and beverage products during processing or storage. It is often more effective at overcoming deteriorative changes in foods and beverages than other types of sequestrant additives (i.e. polyphosphates and citric acid.)
