Aldehyde C-14 is a fragrant liquid with a sweet, fruity, peach like scent. Also known as peach aldehyde or gamma-undecalactone, it is not a true aldehyde. This ingredient is soluble in ethanol, most fixed oils, and propylene glycol. It is insoluble, or practically insoluble, in glycerin and water.
Aldehyde C-14 is synthetically produced without the use of genetically modified organisms. This product is non-hazardous, and meets Food Chemical Codex requirements, and is Kosher certified.
Aldehyde C-14 is a colorless to slightly yellow liquid with a fruity, peach-like scent.
