It is used as a preservative as well as a chemical leavening agent when incorporated with baking soda. Acetic Acid is used as a flavoring agent and let's not forget it is a great sanitizer especially for stainless steel equipment. Acetic Acid is also used in personal care products such as Shampoos & Conditioners as well as cosmetics mouth wash.
