Glacial Acetic Acid is manufactured by BP Chemical Company and packaged in 30 pound pails.

Acetic Acid is a weak organic acid. It is the main component found in vinegar (@ 4-7%) and which gives it its tart taste and strong aroma. Acetic Acid functions as an Acidulant by lowering pH. It is used as a preservative as well as a chemical leavening agent when incorporated with baking soda. Acetic Acid is used as a flavoring agent and let's not forget it is a great sanitizer especially for stainless steel equipment. Acetic Acid is also used in personal care products such as Shampoos & Conditioners as well as cosmetics mouth wash.
