Ingredi Potassium Sorbate is manufactured and packaged by Ningbo Wanglong in a bulk 25 kilogram (55.115 pound) bag. 

Potassium Sorbate is used as a preservative that breaks down water and carbon dioxide in the body. It is anti-microbial and also increases the shelf-life of products. It is used in cheese, baked goods, syrups, and jams. Potassium Sorbate preserves dehydrated foods like jerky and dried fruit, and stops the yeast from continuing to ferment in wine. 

As an ingredient in personal care products, Potassium Sorbate is found in a wide variety of skin care and cosmetic products, including facial, eye and hair care formulas as a preservative. it is a paraben alternative to prevent or retard the growth of microorganisms and protect products from spoiling. Potassium Sorbate is effective against fungi, mold and yeast, but less active against bacteria.

Specifications 

Ingredi Potassium Sorbate is in conformity with GMP Guidelines Impurities: Residual Solvents (CPMP/ICH/283/95) in that it does not contain residual solvents. It is Pareve and Kosher certified. It is also free of GMO and safe for vegetarian and vegan diets. Potassium Sorbate is included in the Handbook of Green Chemicals, approved by the Natural Products Association, and is also Whole Foods Premium Body Care approved. It is commonly referred to as preservative 202.

Characteristics 

Ingredi Potassium Sorbate is a white, odorless powder. It is slightly soluble in alcohol and 67.6g dissolves in 100ml of water at 20°F. It has a pH value of 8.5-10.5.
