Malic Acid FCC Anhydrous is a fine granular powder that is manufactured and packaged by Tate & Lyle in bulk 50 pound bags. 

Malic Acid contributes to the sourness of foods. It is naturally found in green apples, grapes, and gives a tart flavor to wine. It is commonly used in place of, or with, citric acid in sweets. It can also increase energy levels. 

Specifications 

Malic Acid FCC is Food Grade and complies with FDA Regulation 21 CFR 184.1069. Food Additive Number: E296. It it certified for Kalal, Kosher, and Passover. It is also vegetarian and vegan suitable. 

Characteristics 

Malic Acid FCC is a white fine powder that is essentially odorless, or has a very slight sugar odor. It is stable under normal conditions.
