Propenyl Guaethol, also known as Vanitrope, is manufactured and packaged by Tilley Chemical in bulk 25 kilogram (55 pound) poly drums.

Propenyl Guaethol is a synthetic, highly potent aroma chemical.  Along with enhancing flavors and aromas from vanillin and vanilla extract, it also can help stabilize personal care products like soaps and cosmetics.

Propenyl Guaethol does not contain any components listed on California Proposition 65.  It is 100% of the named substance containing no fillers, solvents, carriers, or other non-active components.  This product is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) in accordance with sections 201(s) and 409 of the United States Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.

It is also certified to be GMO free in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003, (EC) No 1830/2003 and Directive No (EC) 18/2001 & BE component free as defined in 7 CFR 66 by the (USDA).

Propenyl Guaethol is certified both Kosher and Halal, free of ethyl alcohol nor is derived from an animal source.

Characteristics

Ingredi Propenyl Guaethol is sweet & vanilla-like, while also containing spicy undertones. It is a white or colorless crystalline powder that is soluble in alcohol and ether. It is insoluble in water.
