Yellow No. 6 Lake (Low) has a 15-18% pure color content that is a "Sunset Yellow" Food, Drug & Cosmetic colorant certified by the FDA. 

FD&C regulated aluminum lakes are not water soluble but disperse effectively in oil. They eliminate color bleeding in water systems and disperse easily in high fat systems. Lakes have excellent heat and light stability as well as processing advantages which will be a valuable asset to your manufacturing operations. Lakes are ideal for bakery, confections, yogurt and ice creams, seasoned powders, dessert & beverage powders, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and plastic/wax coated food packaging.
