Ingredi BP PYRO Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, or SAPP, is used in the food industry. More specially, it is used for certain types of baking powder and baking creams in addition to working as a leavening agent for prepared cake and doughnut mixes. SAPP maintains the natural white color of cooked potatoes.
Ingredi Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate is manufactured and packaged by Innophos. It is certified Kosher, NAFTA, Halal, and complies with FCC requirements. SAPP does not contain any allergens, animal derived materials, or GMO.
SAPP is an anhydrous, white powder with a pH (1% solution) value of 4.1-4.5. It is soluble at 13 grams per 100 grams saturated solution at 25°C.
