Sodium Erythorbate is also known as Sodium Isovitamin C. It is a food additive that is widely used in meats, poultry, soft drinks, baked goods, and potato salad. In processed meats, such as beef sticks, it increases the rate at which nitrite reduces to nitric oxide, aiding in a faster cure and retaining coloring. An antioxidant, it helps improve flavor stability and stops the formation of carcinogenic nitrosamines. 

As an ingredient in personal care products, Sodium Erythorbate is used primarily in hair and nail product and function as antioxidants.

Characteristics

PARCHN Sodium Erythorbate is a white, odorless, crystalline powder or granules with a 100% pass, 30 mesh at normal size. It has a PH Value of 5.5 - 8.0, with a loss of drying percentage of 0.25 max. Its water solubility (g/l) at 20 degrees Celsius is 16g/100ml.
