Sodium Alginate Nalgin™ MV-120 is a High M Alginate (for viscosity) that is packaged by Ingredients Solutions Inc in bulk 55-pound bags. 

Alginates are extracts derived from certain Brown Seaweeds (Kelp or Macrocystis). Sodium Alginate is widely used for its thickening, gelling, and stabilizing properties in ice cream and meat. Alginic Acid exists naturally in the seaweed. Through the extraction and refining process alginic acid is converted to commercially functional Sodium Alginates. Sodium Alginates are used to produce heat-stable gels and to generate viscosity in a variety of fabricated foods, heat-stable fruit fillings, and cheese sauces.

Sodium Alginate Nalgin™ MV-120 is a medium viscosity sodium alginate with good gelling properties and superior color and clarity. Nalgin™ MV-120 is a high quality sodium alginate with superior clarity and viscosity for use in sauces, frozen foods and dry mixes. Nalgin™ MV-120 is Non-GMO and is Kosher and HALAL certified.

Sodium Alginate Nalgin™ MV-120 is white to cream in color. Powder Particle size is 90% through 120 Mesh. Typical use is .5 - 1.0% by weight of final product (varies by application).
