Caustic Soda Pearls are Solidified Pellets of Sodium Hydroxide that is packaged by Formosa Plastic Corporation in bulk 50-pound bags.

Caustic Soda Pearls are small round beads or pellets of caustic soda (also known as Sodium Hydroxide). White and spherical in appearance, Caustic soda pearls are highly alkaline and corrosive. They are soluble in water, with the liberation of heat, and stable under normal conditions. This industrial chemical is hygroscopic (ability of a substance to absorb moisture from the air) and has many applications in the food, beverage, personal care, and industrial or commercial cleaning spaces.

The pearl/bead/pellet form is easy to handle with minimal dusting and excellent flow properties. It is used widely in the industrial application for cleaning purposes. Food industries can utilize this chemical in a solution to help with peeling fruits and vegetables and pH adjustment. Personal Care Industry uses it as a cleaning aide when making soaps and pH adjustments. They are also useful in the soap-making process as they aid in the saponification (process that converts fats, oils, or lipids into soap by combining them with a Sodium Hydroxide base) of vegetable oils or fats.
