At Ingredi, we offer two types of sodium bicarbonate: No.1 and No.5. The difference between them lies in particle size, which plays a crucial role depending on the application.

No.1


has a finer particle size, ideal for baking. It reacts quickly when exposed to heat, making it perfect for leavening baked goods. (Tip: Add a bit of acid like cream of tartar for even better leavening results!)

No.5


has a coarser particle size, which makes it more suited for industrial applications. Its slower reaction time allows it to be used for its abrasive properties in cleaning and other HI&I tasks.
