Thermal Charge PG 50/50, (275 Gal. Tote) 50% Propylene Glycol Diluted with 50% Deionized Water, Colorless and Nonflammable Heat Transfer Fluid Registered with NSF HT1 for Incidental Food Contact
Thermal Charge PG 50/50 (275 Gal. Tote) is an inhibited propylene glycol (PG) based heat transfer fluid blended/diluted with 50% deionized water, formulated to deliver premium low toxicity heat transfer fluid to heating and secondary cooling applications where toxicity is a concern.
This clear Heat Transfer Fluid is registered with NSF as an HT1 product, ensuring it is acceptable for use with applications where there is potential for incidental food contact, such as food processing and beverage applications.
Thermal Charge PG 50/50 is designed with superior fouling/corrosion resistance, constructed to neutralize degradation components, prevent drops in pH, and posseses freeze protection in temperatures as low as -50°F (-46°C).
Thermal Charge PG 50/50's propylene glycol base delivers comparable performance to Ethylene Glycol Based Antifreeze/Coolants but with significantly lower acute oral toxicity, while the flash and fire points of ethylene glycol are above the boiling point of water, presenting little fire hazard in storage or handling when mixed with water of 20% concentrations or greater.
Thermal Charge PG 50/50 is compatible with Ethylene Glycol, though mixing will lessen the lower toxicity properties of Thermal Charge PG 50/50.
