Tartaric Acid is manufactured and packaged by Tartaros Gonzalo Castelló in a bulk 25 kg (55 pound) Bags. 

Tartaric Acid fine granular is a natural L(+) Tartaric Acid is used in food and beverage products as an acidifier, anti-oxidizer, flavor exalter and stabilizer, metals complexer and sequestrator. It is used in the production of tinned food, jam, jelly, confectionary and baking biscuits in general. It can be found in soft drinks and table waters, and in wine-making it is used as an acidifier. 

In pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, it is commonly used as a basic component in the production of natural beauty creams for skin, including face and body.

Other technical uses include its use to improve plasticity and resistance of concrete and cement, as well as in the formulation of waterproof cements and heat insulation. It can also be using in dying and printing textiles, tannings, and ceramics.

Specifications 

Tartaric Acid meets the requirements of European Pharmacopeia (EP), United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) Japanese Pharmacopoeia (J.P.) and National Formulary (NF). It is included in the list of food additives under code E-334. 

Characteristics 

Tartaric Acid adds a sour taste to food and beverage products. When combined with sodium bicarbonate it makes baking powder. This leavening agent combination makes breads rise without the use of yeast. In it's salt form, it is known as Cream of Tartar.

Its appearance is colorless crystals/white powder, almost odorless, stable in air, and hygroscopic at relative humidity higher than 75%. It has a shelf life of 5 years and a pH (Solution 0.1N) of 2.2.
