Characteristics

Paprika Oleoresin 40,000 cu, or paprika extract, is a dark red liquid with the characteristic odor of paprika and a color unit (cu) of 40,000. It contains no artificial coloring agents; all color is derived from paprika (mainly capsanthin and capsorubin). Paprika oleoresin is made by extraction, using an approved solvent that is eventually removed. It is insoluble in water but readily soluble in vegetable oil. Ingredi Paprika Oleoresin contains 80-100% paprika extract and 0-20% sunflower seed oil.
